Unless you are walking or biking, your commute probably produces greenhouse gas emissions. Luckily, trees are natural carbon sinks - in other words, they remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere and use it to grow. A carbon offset lets you help plant exactly enough trees to absorb all that CO2 you are putting into the atmosphere.
You tell us three important things: your starting point, ending point, and how you get between the two. We do the rest by automatically calculating your emissions based on the type of vehicle or transportation mode you use.
We work directly with One Tree Planted, a non-profit based in Vermont. Don’t worry, we’ve worked hard to vet them and ensure their credibility, but if you’re skeptical, feel free to check them out!
